Owen Wins

Owen wins Total Drama Island.

The friendship between Owen and virtually everyone in the Total Drama franchise is based on the simple fact that Owen is an honestly cheerful person. He very much likes to get along with every person he meets and they are drawn his excitable nature that they cannot help be be friends with the big guy. He is seen as loveable, care-free, and just a good person to be around with that often times doing so will make others feel better regardless of whatever situation they are in.

Beth[]

Beth and Owen really have not had a whole lot of interactions with one another. They were on the same team in Total Drama Island, but in different class groups in Total Drama Academy. The only real time they had any sort of contact was during the Super Soaker Food Fight in the Week 2 Challenge Night as they were on opposing teams. Aside from that, both merely recognize that the other exist and that they are quite friendly to one another.

Bridgette[]

Bridgette and Owen really did not have much interaction either on Total Drama Island or Total Drama Academy. They have never really interacted with one another on Total Drama Island due to being on different teams. And though they are in the same class group, they rarely communicate with one another. They have largely only ever interacted through the Challenge Night competitions, mainly when they were on the same team in the Arena challenge in Week 5. Nevertheless, they are quite friendly with one another due to both possessing very positive and upbeat personalities.

Chef Hatchet[]

Chef Hatchet and Owen do not appear to have any sort of conflict. However, Chef has appeared irritated, annoyed, or disgusted by Owen's eating habits, much to his own disbelief considering he cooks what has often been called by others as terrible food. Though not out of any true malice, he generally calls Owen "Tubby." In a challenge where Chef took over hosting duties for a day, Chef was angry at Owen for eating the sticky buns he cooked as he was going to eat them himself. He later revealed in the Campfire Ceremony, to Owen's shock and horror, that he was going to eat Owen's snack stash while he was lost in the forest. Chef threw up at the sight of Owen willingly eat dog food as part of a dare given to him. They have since had little to no contact in Total Drama Academy. Regardless, Chef does not necessarily dislike Owen since he is the one person who actually compliments his cooking.

Cody[]

Cody and Owen running along the Dock of Shame.

Cody and Owen seem to have a nice little friendship going on between them. Being on the same team in Total Drama Island, they often interacted with one another and at times are seen hanging out together. Prior to a challenge where the teams raced one another on a canoe trip through Boney Island, they made a bet that if Cody was able to get his hands on Gwen's bra, Owen would have to do Cody's dishes for the rest of the competition. To Owen's amazement, and even Cody's surprise, Cody was able to succeed in his bet after the challenge had ended.

Their interactions on Total Drama Academy have been much more limited. This is primarily because they are in separate class groups. Furthermore, they have had very little contact even in the Challenge Night competitions. Nevertheless, it is implied that they are still good friends and would hang out together if an opportunity for them to ever arises.

Courtney[]

Courtney and Owen never really had that much interaction with each other. They were on separate teams in Total Drama Island and in different class groups in Total Drama Academy. One would suspect, though, that they are fairly friendly to one another. Owen was the first to welcome Courtney to Camp Wawanakwa and she rooted for him in the final of the competition even before he announced that he would throw a big party if he won. There were on opposing sides in one Challenge Night competition, that being the Arena challenge in Week 5. Unfortunately, these are the only ever real instances of them making contact with one another.

DJ[]

Hide34

DJ and Owen argue over who claimed a hiding spot first.

In a curious sense of irony, there is a slight bit of conflict in the friendship between DJ and Owen. Curious in that both are very positive and outgoing, generally making friends with just about everyone on the show. Much of the conflict can be pointed to them having been in different teams in Total Drama Island. During the paintball deer hunt, Owen spent a great deal of the challenge going after DJ specifically. He managed to corner him at the edge of the thousand foot high cliff, but ran out of paintballs. A not-so happy DJ retaliated by throwing Owen off the cliff.

Still, their naturally goodhearted personalities allowed them to get along and band together as part of the guy's alliance once the teams merged. They did, though, argue with one another over who claimed the roof of the lodge as a hiding spot during the hide and seek challenge, ultimately ending with both crashing through the roof and getting caught. Nevertheless, they still managed to let bygones be bygones and be friends.

In Total Drama Academy, both were in the same class group, though DJ was seemingly withdrawn from everyone else. The two did team together along with Eva, Heather, and Justin in Brunch of Disgustingness in the Week 1 Challenge Night. Aside from that, they have hardly had any contact with one another since.

Duncan[]

Hide10

Duncan forces Owen into joining the guys alliance.

Duncan and Owen appear to have a love-hate relationship. Being a naturally cheerful guy, Owen rarely has anything bad to say about Duncan and sees him as a true friend. This is, however, despite how Duncan would often times find Owen frustrating to point of causing him some physical harm. Nevertheless, Duncan does have a bit of respect for Owen when the situation works favorably for him. He just won't be among the first to stand up for the guy if he can help it.

Through the first half of Total Drama Island, they were on separate teams and therefore did not get to interact with one another. Then the teams merged and Duncan and Owen found plenty of opportunities to hang out. It took some rough convincing, such as holding him over a really small cliff by his ankles, but Duncan managed to convince Owen to be in an alliance with him along with the other remaining guys. This worked out well for both as they ended up making it as far as the final four in the competition. Then things soured a bit during a challenge where Chef Hatchet, who took over hosting duties for a day, had them race against the remaining girls out of the forest and back to the campgrounds. Gwen and Heather won largely because at the very end Owen was distracted eating sticky buns. Duncan was furious with him over it, and it would lead indirectly to his elimination.

In Total Drama Academy, they've had little interaction despite being in the same class group. This was mainly due to Duncan concentrating on helping Courtney get elected to the student body council. However, Duncan has begun to dislike having his room right next to Owen's in part because of the occasional nights when Izzy would visit Owen for some after hours activities. The kind that have left Duncan feeling mentally scared for life.

Eva[]

Eva and Owen have not had a whole lot of interaction with one another. They were on separate teams on Total Drama Island, although they are in the same class groups in Total Drama Academy. They were on opposing teams in the Super Soaker Food Fight in the Week 2 Challenge Night. For the most part, they have managed to avoid one another whenever possible, in large part because Owen likely fears Eva.

Ezekiel[]

Ezekiel and Owen have not had a whole lot of interaction with one another. This is primarily due to the fact that they were in separate teams on Total Drama Island and in different class groups on Total Drama Academy. Regardless, the two have managed to make a small form of friendship. If nothing else, they have made contact largely through Izzy's persistence in getting Ezekiel to be less of a moe with Owen tagging along to help out Izzy whenever possible. The two did manage to be on the same team in the Super Soaker Food Fight in the Week 2 Challenge Night, with Ezekiel having Owen be set as a shield so that he and Trent and could avoid getting hit, thereby getting them the win in their match.

Geoff[]

PaperTowels

Geoff and Owen giving each other a high-five.

Geoff and Owen have a naturally friendly relationship. This is in large part due to Geoff being a party dude and Owen wanting to be the life of a party. They were on different teams in the first half of Total Drama Island, both progressed far enough through the point where the teams merged and banded together as part of the guy's alliance. Within the group, they got along the most and continued onward until Owen joined most of the remaining campers to vote off Geoff as his niceness would cause a detriment to their determination at winning the competition. Nevertheless, Geoff rooted for Owen in the finale even before Owen said he would throw a big party if he won the competition.

Much of their interactions in Total Drama Academy have been minimal, even though they are in the same class group. This is largely due to both be preoccupied with their respective girlfriends. Coincidentally, the pairs would be grouped against each other in Torture Chamber of Love in the Week 4 Challenge Night. Geoff would be asking questions, trying to get Owen to lie and thereby shock Izzy. Only some of the answers Owen gave turned out to be disturbing and later Izzy wanted him to purposefully lie so that she could get shocked a couple times. They would then team up together in the Arena challenge in Week 5, winning their match against Courtney, Duncan, Harold, and LeShawna.

Gwen[]

F2

Gwen and Owen become the final two competitors.

Gwen and Owen have grown to develop a very good friendship with one another. On Total Drama Island, they were on the same team. Initially, though, Gwen found Owen to be annoying due to his exuberant behavior that clashed with her more self-reserved personality. As they progressed through the competition, Gwen began to lighten up to Owen in that he was a naturally kind person who liked people regardless of who they were.

Their friendship would be confirmed in the last challenge before the finale as they, along with Heather, had to each complete a series of dares with refusal to do so being automatic elimination. A dare could be passed on to another competitor once, though taking the initial dare was rewarded with a freebie pass. Owen took on every dare given to him and amassed a great deal of freebies. Sensing the challenge could go on unless something drastic happened, Gwen offered half the prize money if she won the competition or giving him a box of doughnuts if he won for him to team up with her to eliminate Heather. He agreed and the two would double team Heather until the finally managed to get her eliminated.

Though Owen would ultimately win the competition, Gwen did not feel too upset as she was glad she lost to someone as goodhearted as Owen. Their interactions on Total Drama Academy have been limited, largely due to their being in separate class groups and never really teamed up in the Challenge Night competitions. Nevertheless, they are always friendly to one another whenever they manage to find time to make contact.

Harold[]

Harold and Owen have not had a whole lot of interaction with one another. This is largely because both have been on opposite teams in Total Drama Island and different class groups in Total Drama Academy. What little contact they have had has mostly occurred in the heat of competition. In the dodgeball challenge, it came down to Owen and Harold with Owen apologizing for throwing the ball very roughly as it was doing it for the team and not trying to be mean, though Harold would ultimately catch the ball and score the win for his team. They were also on opposite sides in the Arena challenge in the Week 5 Challenge Night, with Owen's team getting the victory this time. Despite the lack of communication, it is implied that they are friendly to one another.

Heather[]

TDI Heather and Owen 6

Owen begins to snap when Heather insults Izzy.

The conflict between Owen and Heather is more from Heather's end. She finds the big guy extremely annoying and a nuisance. This is in complete contrast to Owen, who is one of the friendliest people in the competition. Throughout the majority of Total Drama Island, Heather found herself having to put up with Owen as a means of playing nice so she could get him to vote her way. Sometimes she would have to resort to bribery, like giving him a cake to ensure he voted against Justin after the talent contest. The price she had to pay, though, was having to endure numerous humiliating moments like having to be his partner in a canoe race through Boney Island and getting crushed by him during a training drill run by Chef Hatchet.

Owen was eventually pushed to the brink during the Tri-Armed Triathlon. Heather began insulting his girlfriend Izzy to the point that he just about cost them the challenge by demanding the wimp key. He would later unload on a vicious tirade even though they were still handcuffed together. In the last challenge before the finale, Gwen convinced Owen to team up with her to get Heather eliminated and he accepted. Their double teaming would result in Heather finally getting that which she deserved and was eliminated from the competition.

In Total Drama Academy, Heather would try to avoid Owen however possible. Then again, they were in the same class group and had to partner up in Brunch of Disgustingness in the Week 1 Challenge Night along with DJ, Eva, and Justin. Nevertheless, they have largely managed to refrain from interacting with one another.

Izzy[]

Justin[]

Katie and Sadie[]

Katie and Sadie have had little interaction with Owen as a whole. They were on opposing teams in Total Drama Island, although they would be in the same class group in Total Drama Academy. Owen was on an opposing team from Sadie in the Super Soaker Food Fight in the Week 2 Challenge Night, where Sadie's incoming disadvantage and Owen being used as a shield for his teammates Ezekiel and Trent allowed the boys to win their match. Despite the lack of contact, it is implied that they are friendly with him as they consider him a fun guy to be around with.

LeShawna[]

LeShawna and Owen have surprisingly had little interaction with one another. This is despite the fact that both were on the same team in Total Drama Island and in the same class group in Total Drama Academy. More surprising given that both progressed very deep in the competition on Camp Wawanakwa, as far as the final five in fact. LeShawna had previously shown moments of being annoyed with Owen, such as being grossed out when he splashed himself with urine under the pretense of masking his scent during the paintball deer hunt and having been on opposing teams in the Arena challenge in the Week 5 Challenge Night. Nevertheless, they appear to be quite friendly with one another whenever they make contact.

Lindsay[]

EliminationLindsay3

Owen openly weeps over Lindsay's elimination.

Lindsay and Owen have a seemingly nice friendship. Though they were on the same team in Total Drama Island and in the same class group in Total Drama Academy, they have not had too much interaction with one another. But when they do, it is often very friendly as they seem to make each other happy. This would seem to be the case as Owen was very emotional when Lindsay was eliminated from the competition at Camp Wawanakwa and was saying her goodbyes to everyone on the Dock of Shame.

They have had one instance of contact during the Challenge Night competitions. They were paired together in Heartbreak Hotel in Week 8, where they had to remain in a room being filled with non-toxic love gas and avoid kissing for as long as possible. Unfortunately, they ended up being the first to kiss and were therefore the losers of the challenge, though they seemingly did not understand what was going on before or after until they were informed that they simply lost to which they cried over.

Noah[]

Noah and Owen really have not had a whole lot of interactions with one another. They were on the same team in Total Drama Island, but in different class groups in Total Drama Academy. Both merely recognize that the other exist and that Noah at least tolerates his presence as much as he is willing.

Trent[]

TooBadBro

Owen and Trent managing to converse during the finale.

Trent and Owen have a very good friendship with one another. They were on the same team in Total Drama Island and later in the same class group in Total Drama Academy. From the very beginning, Trent was one of the few to get along with Owen and have few issues with him. Trent was perhaps the most encouraging for Owen to make the jump off a thousand foot high cliff into a shark-infested lake so that their team would take the lead in the first challenge at Camp Wawanakwa and would later defend Owen when the others accused him of potentially costing them the challenge where they had to camp out in the forest for the night by pointing out that Owen was the only one who managed to get them food.

Perhaps the one point where their friendship was confirmed was in the finale of the competition. Though Trent was rooting against Owen, both would engage in conversation during the final race. Owen would constantly encourage Trent to not give up on winning Gwen's heart. Trent would later note that, while he supported Gwen to win, he would have liked going to Owen's party had he won as Owen was beginning to believe his chances were hopeless at that point.

While they have not had a whole lot of interactions with one another since arriving at Richmore Academy, they are still on very friendly terms with one another. They teamed together, along with Ezekiel, in the Super Soaker Food Fight in the Week 2 Challenge Night, where they were victorious in their match by using Owen as a shield so that the other two could avoid getting hit by their opposition.

Tyler[]

Tyler and Owen have not had a whole lot of interaction with one another. They were on separate teams on Total Drama Island, although they are in the same class groups in Total Drama Academy. While one would imagine Tyler would have a sense of jealously with how friendly his girlfriend Lindsay is with Owen, there doesn't appear to be any real form of conflict as Owen is committed to his relationship with Izzy while Lindsay is with Tyler. The two are apparently otherwise friendly with one another.
